  • Hector Gonzalez - Artistic Director and Event Coordinator

    Héctor González: a pioneer of Latin entertainment in Chicago.

    With a career spanning more than 25 years, Héctor has proven to be a passionate advocate for the arts and culture, using his creativity to build bridges between communities.

    For more than 18 years he has been a promoter in the Chicago area: In 2001, Héctor co-founded the innovative radio and television program "Lenguas al Aire"..

    After that Héctor ventured into the production of programs such as "Proyectados", which he not only entertained but sponsored them himself. or "La Barra de los Stes" on YouTube.

    Musically, Héctor has been an unwavering defender of Latin Rock. The creation of "Studio Rock" allowed him to collaborate with local bands for more than two decades, contributing significantly to the Latin music scene.

    He manages Chess Live events and artists, and is also the Room Manager.

  • Maria Carrillo - Executive Director

    María Carrillo is a passionate leader and defender of art and culture.

    From her first days in Chicago, María demonstrated a deep interest in dance, which led her to take classes that paved the way for her artistic development. Not limiting herself to dance, she also explored facets of theater and music at the Instituto de Progreso Latino, thus broadening her creative perspective.

    She participated as a volunteer at the Rubén Salazar School for 3 and a half years, providing assistance to kindergarten children and contributing to the educational development of the community. Additionally, for 3 and a half years, she worked as a volunteer at Mujeres Latinas en Acción, supporting the Latino community.

    Her commitment to art and her concern about the lack of opportunities for young people led her to co-found this project.

  • Carolina Almeida Ávila - Volunteer Coordinator and Finance Manager

    Carolina Almeida Ávila brings with her a story of resilience and determination that has led her to reach important milestones in her life.

    Carolina is a professional with a solid academic background. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree with a concentration in Accounting. Her commitment to excellence led her to obtain certification as an IRS Enrolled Agent in 2023, standing out as an expert in tax issues.

    Beyond er professional career, Carolina stands out for her pride and dedication to spreading the rich traditions and vibrant Mexican culture.

    Their appreciation for multiculturalism is evident in their willingness to explore and learn from other cultures, creating an enriching environment.

  • Denna López Caballero - Workshops and Education Coordinator

    Denna Lopez Caballero is passionate about art and teaching.

    Dual Education Teacher in the state of Illinois, specialized in bilingual teaching in Spanish and English.

    Her artistic side has taken her to the stage since she was little, either as an actress or as a singer.

    He also currently directs the Chicago Hispanic Artist Company, which aims to be a pioneer in musical theater shows in Spanish in Chicago.

    For years he taught Spanish to Arab immigrants both at school and through the Red Cross.

    Her love of teaching languages ​​has brought her to Chicago, where she met Chess Live and became strongly involved when she fell in love with the project.

  • Juan F Diaz - Marketing and Communications Manager

    Juan F Diaz connects art and communication.

    He shares his career in the world of Marketing and Sales with his artistic project as a singer-songwriter, Juanfra Dimas.

    Thanks to that experience, as well as presenting radio talk shows with guests, he learned that art must be communicated to reach more people.

    He has been helping different artistic and musical projects to manage their image and communication professionally for years.

    Fervent believer in local art and culture as a tool for personal growth and empowerment.

  • ALFREDO ARROYO - Vocal

    Alfredo Arroyo, a native of Chicago, emerged from a vibrant upbringing alongside his 11 brothers and sisters, shaping his values and sense of community. His educational journey led him to Robert Morris College, where he dedicated himself to the pursuit of knowledge, ultimately earning a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration.

    From a young age, Alfredo harbored a deep-seated desire to make a positive impact on the lives of others. This passion has guided him throughout his life, as evidenced by his extensive involvement with charities, non-profit organizations, and various committees spanning over 15 years. Alfredo's commitment to philanthropy reflects his belief in the power of collective action to create meaningful change and uplift those in need.

    Currently residing in his beloved hometown of Chicago, Alfredo shares his life with his wife, Lili, and their son, Alfredo Jack. Rooted in family values and a genuine concern for the well-being of others, Alfredo Arroyo continues to be a dedicated advocate for community betterment, embodying the spirit of compassion and service in all aspects of his life.
